Techno Temple Fundraiser

As workshops are slowly and responsibly starting up again, it has become clear that our beloved home, House Blivande , has some room for improvement. Keep reading to learn about the what’s and the why’s. Here’s a 3 minute Fundraiser “Elevator Pitch”:

What We Ask

The Noden board has decided to put in 12,500 SEK for the sound proofing of the Techno Temple. Since there is no budget for this project we now ask Noden members to pitch in if you can. Help us keep peace within the house and come and enjoy an acoustically improved Free Flow on Thursdays! There is a fundraiser and we would greatly appreciate any contribution!

Why We Ask: The Two-sided Problem

With workshops like Free Flow back on the schedule we have wonderful music flowing in the Techno Temple between 7 and 10 pm on Thursdays. But however beautiful it may be, it is also rather loud. In the neighbouring room Tau there are workshops going on at this very same hour on the very same day, and they can barely hear themselves thinking for all the noise. Bummer! Also, sometimes (maybe for revenge?) noise-making power tools are used in Tau, which in turn disturbs workshops in the Techno Temple. Uh-oh, the fight is on…

The Solution

The two windows in the back of the Techno Temple must be removed and isolated. And while we are on it with the sound proofing, we will also embark on an acoustics-improvement journey. The room will become quieter and cosier, so that both louder workshops like Free Flow and quieter workshops like meditation will benefit. And as an extra plus, the speech in the room will become clearer.

Current Traction

3,000 SEK has been donated by members who attended Urban Playa Fiesta and chose to skip the optional ticket refund. Thank you - you’re awesome! A few beautiful souls are also planning to donate work and even put in private funds to help this project, and so is Blivande. Co-creation! <3 But - there’s still some way to go, to cover the whole cost.
